Who remembers the old dial telephones? Round and round you went ! And so telephone tables were a standard fixture in most 1960s-1970s homes, often made by the Chippy Heath company.
This example has been reimagined for the modern hallway (or anywhere else you might need to perch!) and features a pretty wallpaper, new leather tab and a new (separate) fluffy seat made from wool and vegan 80% hemp fake fur. (No nasty foam here!) Comes with the original pencil. Thrice varnished for longevity.
Chippy Heath refers to a British furniture company, prominent in the 1960s and 1970s, known for its distinctive mid-century modern telephone seats. These multi-functional pieces typically combined a seat, storage drawers, and a pull-out shelf, often made of teak or other warm woods. Today, Chippy Heath furniture is sought after by collectors and enthusiasts for its unique design and practical use.
